Recently Shaw Business sent out a very well done letter talking about Toll Fraud, or Long Distance Fraud. The letter talks about what it is, your legal responsibility, and what you can do to protect yourself.
We've written several articles on this subject and hope that all of our clients appreciate and have taken the appropriate steps to minimize their exposure to this.
With that said, we're surprised all to often when one of our customers calls us and reports that they are the victim of some hacker who accessed their system and set up a 'channel' overseas somewhere, and thus this client is on the hook for thousands of dollars in long distance charges.
